Two adults charged with murder in parade shooting

Two men have been charged with felony murder on Tuesday in the mass shooting at the Kansas City Chiefs’ Super Bowl celebration last week.Lyndell Mays of Raytown (Mo.) and Dominic M. Miller of Kansas City each face one count of second-degree murder, Jackson County prosecutor Jean Peters Baker announced in an afternoon news conference.Mays and Miller also have been charged with two counts of armed criminal action and unlawful use of a weapon. They are both being held on $1 million bond.Local radio personality Lisa Lopez-Galvan was killed in the shooting and at least 39 others were injured, per the Kansas City Star.Per Peters Baker, Mays was involved in an argument with another person and drew a handgun. Miller and others, in turn, responded by drawing their weapons, but Miller’s weapon allegedly fired and killed Lopez-Galvan, Peters Baker said.
