RMHC’s Denim to Diamonds is back!

The 16th Annual Denim and Diamonds gala to benefit Topeka’s Ronald McDonald House takes place on Saturday, August 25th at the Downtown Topeka’s Ramada Inn Hotel & Convention Center. This year’s gala theme is “Cheers to 30 Years” in honor of our organization’s 30th birthday (1988-2018). Dress and decor is being built around a Roaring 20’s motif. The event kicks off in the “Speakeasy” with a cocktail party from 5:30-7:00 pm, which features a complimentary signature drink (The Bee’s Knees), passed champagne and appetizers and the chance to big on a vast array of sumptuous dinner with wine accompaniment, meet the Ronald McDonald House House Family of the Year and view the video premiere of their personal story. The gala concludes with the live auction.

An after-gala dance party hosted by the Red Shoe Crew young professionals’ organization that supports the Ronald McDonald House will be held from 9:00-11:30 pm. It’s open to all gala attendees at no additional cost.

Denim to Diamonds tickets are on sale now through August 17th at the Ronald McDonald House, 825 SW Buchanan Street, Topeka or HERE. Tickets are $75 each or $700 for a table of 10. This year the silent auction is going to feature both mobile bidding and on-site, paper-based bidding on some select items. The mobile silent auction opens for bids on Friday, August 17th and closes at 7:30 pm on Saturday 25th. Individuals do not have to be present at the gala to be high mobile bidder on a silent auction item; they can collect their items at Topeka’s Ronald McDonald House the week of August 27th – 31st.

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of Northeast Kansas seeks to keep families close by providing a comfortable and conveniently located home for parents and loved ones who have children receiving medical care at area hospitals. In 2017, 1,543 nights of lodging were provided to 156 families, most of whom were unable to donate anything for their stay. Community support for Denim to Diamonds gala is essential to families who stay at the House to be close to their sick or injured children being cared for in a nearby hospital.
