Ex-Ohio State QB Baldwin going to TCU

Former Ohio State quarterback Matthew Baldwin, who entered the transfer portal last month, has decided to play at TCU, a source confirmed Tuesday to ESPN.”I visited this past weekend and I had an awesome time,” Baldwin told 247Sports, which was the first outlet to report his decision.Baldwin, who was a redshirt freshman at Ohio State, had been competing with Justin Fields, a transfer from Georgia, but all signs pointed to Fields winning the job after spring practice. In the spring game, Baldwin completed 20 of 36 passes for 246 yards, with two touchdowns and two interceptions.”My family and I have prayed and talked a lot about where I belong and what is best for me,” Baldwin wrote on Twitter last month. “In the end, we feel like it’d be better for me to step away from Ohio State. I want everyone to know this isn’t done out of anger or frustration, but I’m not just a football player.”Fellow Buckeyes QB Tate Martell previously transferred to Miami following the addition of Fields.
