TOPEKA FESTIVAL SINGERS

DINNER WITH A GHOST

 

Ward-Meade Park and Ghost Tours of Kansas have joined forces to present Dinner with a Ghost, March 10th beginning at 6:30pm.  Following dinner will be a West Topeka Ghost Tour.  Tickets for the Dinner and Tour are $40.00 per person with limited seating.  For more information, go to www. ghosttoursof kansas.com


WELLNESS FAIR

 

Washburn University's Memorial Union is the site of the next Wellness Fair.  This event is to promote and inform the public about local wellness services that are availible.  The Wellness Fair is Feb. 9th from 11am till 1:30pm.  For more information, go to celeste.hajek@washburn.edu


FISH & SHRIMP SUPPER

 

St. Joseph's Church in Nortonville invites you to their Fish & Shrimp Suppers every Friday from 5-7pm during Lent.  Cost is $9.00 for ages 11 and up and $5.00 from ages 4-10.  Ages under 4 are Free.  The Fish & Shrimp Suppers begin Feb. 24th and run through March 30th


OPERATION SOUP LINE

 

the 9th Annual Operation Soup Line is Wednesday, February 29th from 11am till 1:30pm, at Ag Hall at the Topeka Expocentre.  This is fund raiser for Doorstep and again this year there will be Soup, Chili, a Silent Auction , entertainment and Celebrity Servers.  For more information, call Jackie at 785-286-0986 or go to doorsteptopeka.org


SWAP MEET

 

The 13th Annual Swap Meet, presented by Abate of Kansas Dist. #4, will be held March 17th from 8am till 6pm, at Heritage Hall at the Kansas Expocentre.  All are welcome to attend.  Cost will be $2.00 and Food and Beverages will be availible.  For more information, call 785-213-1818 or 785-925-0564


19th ANNUAL FRUIT SALE

 

The 19th Annual Topeka West Charger Band's Fruit Sale begins January 31st.  More than 130 Band members are selling 20-pound boxes of sweet navel oranges, ruby red grapefruit or a mix of the two for $23.00.  Fruit orders will be taken trhough Feb. 13th.  To order, contact any Topeka West Charger Band Member or Band Director Barry Evans at 785-438-4045


PANCAKE FEED

 

A Pancake Feed will be held Feb. 11th at the University United Methodist Church, 17th & College, from 7am till 1pm.  All proceedes will be used to defray the cost of Scouting & purchase camping equipment for Troop 10.  For more information, call 785-249-6309


CHILI SUPPER

 

Boy Scout Troop 13 will hold their annual Chili Supper, Feb 25th, from 4-7pm at the Highland Park United Methodist Church, 2914 SE Michigan Ave in Topeka.


THE THREE LITTLE PIGS

 

The Schooltime Theater Performance of "The Three Little Pigs" will be held Feb. 21st, at the Topeka Performing Arts Center.  This is a lighthearted musical with a twist on the classic tale.  Tickets are $5.50, Groups $3.75 and Tax Exempt Groups $3.50.  Call the Box Office for more information, 785-234-2012


KANSAS SILENT FILM FESTIVAL

The 16th Annual Kansas Silent Film Festival will be held Feb. 24th & 25th at Washburn University's White Concert Hall.  This is a Free festival and is open to the public.  For more information, call 785-670-1639


THE SOUND OF MUSIC

 

Hayden High School presents, "The Sound of Music"  at TPAC Feb. 25th at 7:30pm and Feb. 26th at 2pm.  Tickets are $10.00 and availible at the TPAC Box Office.
